Hello fellow humans,
I think it's time for me to tell you little about this organization. This organization is the brain child of Chukwu John, who got the urge to fill the need he saw growing around him. It's common knowledge that violence and crime is on the rise in Nigeria, largely because the youth have been greatly marginalized in this country. there are no job opportunities for the youths who struggled to go through school, there are no jobs for those who left school to work and try to fen for their families, there is no cash flow period. We are living in a tank, where the water only flows at the top while the people at the bottom are still living in the same waters that has not been changed for the past 40 or so years of independence.
I am an advocate of creating jobs but i have come to realize that if there is no money for capital how are the youths expected to create jobs. their options are really slim to none and we expect them to be productive or get creative but the truth is that their hands are tied to their sides and their eyes have gone blood red, they are now in a blood lust and they don't really care who gets caught in the cross fire anymore. Howbeit among these radical youths they are still a few who hold on to the hope that a way will be opened for them somehow and eventually they will reach their goals in life, because as they say the patient dog eats the fattest bone.
However not everyone is so patient and they need the money now, because time is of the essence. their house rent is due, their siblings school uniforms and books are all worn out, their mother needs medical attention and they are the ones who have been given the mandate to fend for all these needs. What are they to do? Things are so tough and there is no way out, but to go into thuggery and vandalism where for a small or petty crime, you get instant reward and with that you can solve a problem or two. Before people start to jump to conclusions i am in no way justifying these actions, i am just stating some causes why things have gotten this way, why people have chosen to live a life of terrorism and violence and let's be frank once you get into life on the fast lane you can never stop.
Out of this need came the idea that we the "privileged" youths have the responsibility to sensitize other youths about what they can do to make a better life for themselves. We will do this by setting up workshops for graduates and mini trainings for those who didn't complete or go for tertiary education. In these workshops and trainings we hope to train people on skill acquisition and also talk about the various ways they can improve their craft. We will also give people opportunity to write articles and assessments (in the mini trainings) from where we will pick the best and give them further training on various specialties then set them up in our own small way after all we are just growing as an organization and there is no need training someone if you can not give him/her something to do at the end of the training.
We intend to get various sponsors as well from the government, government parastatals and also non governmental organization, who will help either by giving us funds or by giving free training to those who show up and additional training for those who excel in the writing and assessments. This in a nut shell is part of our plan to impact the live of the great youths of this great nation and we hope that when we are fully operational and ask for your contribution either in cash or by your presence you will be there in a hurry.
